Our CSR Partners
At Capital One, we’re focused on contributing to society by positively impacting our communities. Our programmes and activities are transformative – we’re creating a world where everyone has an opportunity to prosper. For us, this looks like volunteering, and fundraising in partnerships with community groups, schools, and charities.
Over 50% of our associates volunteer in our CSR programmes annually, as we focus on social mobility and numeracy skills with community-led charities.
National numeracy
We believe confidence with numbers can have a huge impact on people’s lives and self-esteem. That’s why we’re proud to be a partner of National Numeracy, an independent charity designed to help those in need gain confidence with numbers and maths. Together, we can drive social mobility and provide better, brighter options for students’ futures.

Supporting Future Careers
A student who has at least four interactions with an employer is more likely to go into higher education and 86% less likely to be unemployed as an adult. That’s why our Pathways programme is designed for primary, secondary and post-16 students.
Our associates reach thousands of young people of diverse backgrounds every year and meaningfully engage with them, providing real, actionable career advice. We’ve also created a digital hub that helps communities all over the country access the programme.
"This is a testament to the work we do in school – and we wouldn’t be as effective without Capital One’s partnership. You can see why we rave about what you do at Capital One. Your work is so important to us.”Head of Year, Nottingham Academy Pathways Resources
Sutton Trust
Sutton Scholars: Supporting Graduate Opportunites
The Sutton Trust champions social mobility through targeted programmes, national research, and government policy influence.
This social mobility partnership aims to engage young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through programmes such as Sutton Scholars and Pathways to Banking & Finance. We support top universities and industry professionals to help students and young people make informed decisions and inspire them to make their next step count.
Supporting charities
and not-for-profits
We support charities by match funding, volunteering, funding, and departmental fundraisers.
Capital One UK has made charitable donations of £2.9 million since 2020, directly benefiting over a million individuals.
We also partner with the Living Wage Foundation and Nottingham Citizens to ensure our third-party supply chain pays the Living Wage.
